New York, NY, March 21, 2006 ­ This month Rafe launches e-commerce on its website www.rafe.com and celebrates its fifth anniversary since its incorporation in March 2001. The website will offer the entire Rafe New York Spring 2006 collection including women’s and men’s accessories, women’s shoes and small leather goods for purchase.

“We've come a long way from working out of the basement of our store to selling our products online. It’s really a dream come true,” says designer Rafe Totengco. “People shop online more than ever and it is a great way to reach customers on a more individual basis. Although we’ve been around as a company for 5 years ( the Rafe New York label has existed since 1995; Rafe and his partners incorporated in 2001), we're still under the radar, so hopefully e-commerce will expose us to new customers.”

Always looking to be ahead of the trends, Rafe New York was one of the first accessories brands to have an internet presence. The first Rafe website debuted online in 1998,with only 4 short pages touting Rafe's Fall 1998 collection. Several years and thousands of pages later, rafe.com has gone through as many changes as the collections it has featured. Designed in-house by the Rafe branding design team and enabled by eFashionSolutions, the transition to full-service ecommerce was a carefully-considered venture to create the best possible online shopping site for the Rafe customer. The new site features the clean design that the Rafe site has always been known for, incorporating easy navigation, the highest-level security and many user-friendly features to ensure that shopping at rafe.com is a fun and worry-free experience.
